At the beginning of a round, your role determines what you need to accomplish. The game offers two main tasks: Hide and Seek.

The two objectives are completely different, so your strategy should change according to the role you receive.

A hider needs to think about visibility, location, and survival time. A seeker needs to observe the environment, explore possible hiding spots, and use the available time efficiently.

Learning both roles is useful because it helps you understand how the other side thinks. Knowing what makes a hiding spot effective can also make you a better seeker.

Choose your mission

The most important decision in Hide and Seek comes from understanding your mission. Each role has its own victory condition and requires a different way of thinking.

Hide: Stay out of sight

Choosing Hide means your goal is to avoid the seeker's view for a certain amount of time. Survive until the timer reaches the required point and you win the round.

The first few moments are especially important. You need to find a suitable location and position your character before the seeker gets too close.

A good hiding place should give you enough protection while still allowing you to remain undetected. Simply choosing the nearest corner may not always be the best solution. Think about where a seeker is likely to look first and consider choosing a less obvious location.

Find a smart hiding place

A strong hiding spot is not necessarily the smallest or darkest location. Its real value comes from how difficult it is for the seeker to notice you.

Look around the environment before settling into one position. Objects, corners, walls, and other parts of the map may provide useful cover.

Try to imagine the area from the seeker's perspective. Locations that look extremely obvious may be searched early. A slightly less convenient position could give you a much better chance of surviving the entire timer.

Stay patient while hiding

Once you find a good location, patience becomes important. Moving unnecessarily can make your character easier to notice.

The temptation to change position can be strong, especially when you think the seeker is nearby. Before making a move, consider whether the new position is actually safer.

Sometimes staying completely still is the best strategy. The goal is not to explore the map; it is to remain hidden until the required time has passed.

Watch the seeker carefully

Even while hiding, awareness matters. Pay attention to movement around your location and try to understand where the seeker is going.

A seeker walking toward your area can create a difficult decision. Moving too early may expose your location, while waiting too long could leave you with no escape route.

Good hiders learn to balance patience with quick reactions. Staying hidden is usually the priority, but knowing when to move can save a round.

Seek: Find hidden players

The Seek mission reverses the objective. Instead of hiding from another player, you become the person searching the environment.

Your task is to find the hidden players within a limited period. Every second matters, so an organized search is much more effective than moving randomly around the map.

Search the environment carefully

Start by checking areas where a hider would naturally feel safe. Corners, spaces behind objects, edges of the map, and less visible locations are worth investigating.

Do not spend the entire round checking one small area. A systematic search helps you cover more ground and reduces the chance of leaving an obvious hiding location unexplored.

Move through one section at a time and keep track of where you have already searched. This simple habit prevents you from repeatedly checking the same places.

Think like a hider

One of the best ways to become a better seeker is to understand hiding strategies.

Imagine that you are trying to avoid being found. Where would you go? Which areas would look safe? Which locations would you expect the seeker to ignore?

This change in perspective can reveal possibilities that are easy to miss during a normal search. A player who understands both sides of the game has a strong advantage.

Make every second count

The time limit creates the main pressure for seekers. Spending too long in one location can leave you without enough time to check the rest of the map.

Develop a quick search pattern. Move through obvious areas first, then investigate less predictable locations. Keep your character moving and avoid unnecessary backtracking.

A successful seeker combines speed with observation. Moving quickly without paying attention is just as ineffective as searching carefully but moving too slowly.
