What is Pyramid Solitaire?

Scoring and Card Values

Understanding the value of the cards is crucial for playing Pyramid Solitaire well. The game uses simple yet distinctive scoring rules:

• Ace (A) = 1 point
• Cards from 2 to 10 = corresponding value
• J (Jack) = 11 points
• Q (Queen) = 12 points
• K (King) = 13 points

Whenever a pair of cards totals 13, that pair is removed from the table. Specifically, King cards with a value of 13 can be removed immediately without pairing with any other card.

Using the Draw Deck

During the game, players can flip over individual cards from the draw pile (stock). The flipped cards are in the waste area and can be used to pair with cards in the pyramid.

Depending on the game version, the number of times the stock can be flipped over may be limited, requiring players to consider their strategy and use the cards wisely to successfully complete the game.
