How to Play Pacman

Rules

In Pac-Man, the player controls the main character moving through a classic maze with the primary goal of eating all the Pac‑Dots (small dots) and Power Pellets (energy pellets) to complete each level. Every completed level unlocks a new challenge with increasing speed and difficulty.

In addition, the player must avoid four ghosts that are constantly chasing them. However, after eating a Power Pellet, Pac-Man can turn the tables and eat the weakened blue ghosts to earn bonus points. This effect only lasts a few seconds, so players must react quickly and time their moves precisely.

Controls

  • Movement: The player only needs to use the arrow keys (↑ ↓ ← →) to guide Pacman through the maze.
  • Automatic dot collection: Pacman will automatically eat Pac‑Dots and Power Pellets when moving over them.
  • No active attack: "Eating ghosts" only occurs when Pac‑Man is in the powered-up state (under Power Pellet effect).

Ghost Personalities and Strategies

  • Blinky (red): Always closely follows Pacman; the most aggressive pursuer.
  • Pinky (pink): Tries to block Pacman by predicting his movement.
  • Inky (blue): Has complex and unpredictable behaviour, moving based on the positions of both Pacman and Blinky.
  • Clyde (orange): When approaching Pacman, often suddenly retreats to the bottom-left corner of the maze.

If you're looking for a faster-paced challenge after mastering Pac-Man's maze, Trigonometry Dash offers a thrilling test of reflexes and rhythm in a completely different style.
