Right from the start, players will have to get used to two separate controllers:
The separation of keys creates a unique experience, forcing players to control two characters in parallel or coordinate with another player to overcome obstacles.
Journey to conquer the maze, control fire and water to overcome traps
The survival principle in Crystal Temple lies in the environmental interaction mechanism. Fireboy is fire, immune to lava, but will immediately die when touching water. On the contrary, Watergirl is water, can swim safely in water, but is completely helpless against fire. Both have the same enemy: green slime, which can take them down in the blink of an eye. Creating this difference increases the difficulty, forcing players to think hard about the most reasonable movement strategy for each character.
Fireboy and Watergirl 4 also impresses with a diverse system of support mechanisms, from levers, buttons, to portals. Each element has its function, helping to open up different solutions for each puzzle.
In particular, players need to note that white portals connect to white portals, black portals connect to black portals, not only moving characters but also pushing objects back and forth to open the way.
After conquering the crystal maze in Fireboy and Watergirl 4, switch things up with Flip Bottle - a fun skill game where you flip a bottle across obstacles to reach the finish.
